2000/2001 Pro VW Slot
Car Pictures:
With the advent of the 2000/2001 slot car racing season we have added a pro
racing slot car class to our regular slot car racing VW class. This group of slot cars races
with the regular VW class except for the racers are able to add Ball
Bearings, Hollow Axles, 64 Pitch Gears, and 5/8 fronts on the cars.
The JK VW slot car bodies on these slot cars were also required to be made in to convertibles
with a fully detailed interior in them. These Plafit
Cheetah motor slot cars are turning lap times on the hill climb similar to that of
full blown group 10 slot car motors. The top slot car racers in the previous series were
restricted to only run this class of cars. This set of cars runs with the
regular VW slot car cheetah class except the payout is separate for each class.
