"16D Motors"
Is a power pack that comes with the ninco track strong enough for you to run 16d motors on it. If I do try to run one will it burn up the power pack or will the car not go? I was thinking about experimenting with one in a Ninco car that I am building and wondered if it would work?

There were no responses to this question ? I can tell you that a stock 16D draws approximately 1 amp under "no load" (connected to in-line drive train) conditions. I can run a single 16D equipped Champion Thumper successfully using a single Riggen (rated 1 amp @ 12 volts) 12 watt transformer. A Ninco transformer rated 900 millamps @ 14.8 volts (13.32 watts) in theory should preform slightly better than my Riggen unit. The same 16D equipped car will have slightly better performance when powered by a 12 volt automotive battery backed up by a charger. This is because the Riggen transformer is operating at maximum capacity with the 16D and the applied voltage is dropping below 12 volts as the current draw exceeds 1 amp ...at least in theory. Although I have not experienced it, extended running time at maximum output may cause the transformer to overheat ...which is what the thermal overload switch is there for.
